Baby

Here is a layout I have been slowly working on for almost a week now.
My parents brought the picture of my grandma and I to the hospital the day after I had K to show us just how much she looked like I did as a baby. The resemblance is crazy! :)
There was no sketch for this page, but the strips on the bottom were inspired by a layout done by my friend Brenda Smith, you can see her blog HERE.

The Details

Here is a page I did with some of the pictures of the "details" of our wedding.
No sketch for this one. The background has some faint glimmer misting on it (the picture shows it more than you can see it in real life) The silver flourishes are stamped and embossed, and the small "pearls" are imaginisce hot rocks.

Owie

 I love this PageMaps sketch!

Here's my page.
I love the colour that the Chalkboard Glimmer Mist adds to the page! This was a fun page, but I still feel bad for my poor daughter's nose! :(

MWM Topaz #8

Here is the sketch for MWM Topaz #8

And here is my page.
I have had these pictures kicking around for a while and knew I wanted to scrap them, but wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. This sketch worked perfectly!  I'm very happy with how it turned out. I'm also loving the Echo Park Christmas lines. For this one I used  Dots & Stripes and Holly Jolly Christmas. They are so fun!

I'm also super excited that I won the MWM random drawing for last weeks sketch! Thanks SS!

Girl's Day

Recently my friends took me out for my birthday and we got to catch up and have a great day together. I wanted to make a page about it, of course!
Here is the sketch from SS, I have used this one before.
 And here is my page.

Thanks again girls! It was so fun!

It's a Birthday! (& MCM #49)

It's my husband's birthday today so I was happy when this morning's MCM sketch worked well with the baseball themed card I had in mind!
Here is the sketch
Here is my card. I used my Sew Easy tool to do the stitching on the ball.

and here is his present from our daughter. I got the idea from a few of my friends, and my dad helped me make the letters. I think it will look great on his desk at work! :)

Grandma

I have been wanting to scrapbook the pictures I have of my daughter and my grandparents for a while now, but I haven't had the courage. The other night I pulled out one of the pictures and got to work. I was nervous because I really wanted to love the finished product so it took me a few days until I was satisfied. I do love it though!
I used a sketch from Page Maps as my inspiration starting point

And here is the page. I really think my Grandma would have liked it :)

CE September Challenge

The CE challenge for September is to use a non-traditional product on your layout or card.
Here is my page. I used metal washers as embellishments :)

Here are some close-ups of the large washers. I stamped them using a metal stamp set from a local automotive store and coloured in the letters with a permanent marker.

The picture of this one is hard to read, but the washer says "crew". She thought she was the Crew Boss :)
The pages are my own design, no sketch this time!
