A Very Productive {Scrapbooking} Day!

I got a chance to work on the pictures of my daughter's 2nd birthday today!
I used some of SS's older sketchs for three pages, and made up my own design for the fourth.

Sketch for MWM #15

Page 2 - I squeezed in another photo on this page.

 Sketch for MWM # 28

Page 1 - I started out with this sketch, but rearranged things to work for my photos, and it doesn't look much like it anymore!

MWM Topaz #3

Here is the sketch (by my friend Kristina!)

And here is my page :) I had a lot of fun with this one and the page just came together almost effortlessly! Thanks Kristy M!

A Page Without a Sketch!

I finally got up the courage to do a page without having a sketch to look at!
Here it is!

Pretty simple, but I am happy with it :)

MWM Topaz #2 & CE August Challenge

Here is the sketch for MWM Topaz #2

And here is my page.  The CE August challenge was to use stitching, so I got a chance to break in my new Sew Easy tool! :) I love it!

MCM #43

Here is the sketch for MCM #43

Here is my card. It's for my little brother.

And here is another one for him, kind of along the same lines.

2nd Birthday Bash!

K turned two earlier this week and we had a backyard BBQ to celebrate. I thought I'd share some of the pictures from her big day :)

Here is the invitation I made and then had printed out as 4x6 photos

Here is the birthday girl on her new bike in the owl shirt I made her for the party. (are you sensing a theme yet?)  :) The owl is fabric, the heart and beak are heat transfer material, all cut with my Silhouette. The eyes are googly eyes that I hot glued on.

The cake. It was my first fondant cake, it was fun to do, but took a while!

The cupcakes with Perfect Cupcake Frosting from Our Best Bites (seriously delicious!)

The fabric banner I made. The triangles are hand cut, and the letters were done by my Silhouette!
You can also see the balloon wreath I made here. It's in a makeshift spot because it wouldn't stay where I hung it up!

And here is a pillowcase I made for her as one of her presents. The owl is fabric  and the eyes and beak are heat transfer material, all cut with my Silhouette.

And there you have it. A 2nd birthday party in a nutshell :)

MWM Topaz #1 - Part II

Remember this sketch?
And remember how I said I'd be doing more pages with it?

Well I did :) I started this page while in Calgary last weekend meeting some friends. But I had too much fun with them and didn't get a chance to finish it until last night!
