CMT: Inky - Beautiful

Today's Challenge Me Tuesday (CMT) on Practical Scrappers is to use ink!
There are some pretty neat projects over there, so go check it out! :)
Here is my page
I used Colorbox Chalk Ink pads across the bottom of the page (I turned the whole pad upside down and used it as a stamp). I also used the same method to colour the cardstock for the title before I cut it out with my Silhouette machine. I found a great tutorial to make the twine flower on youtube. It can be seen {here}

BG Sketch - 3am

Here is a sketch I found on Pinterest yesterday via a few friends. I loved it so much I decided to work on it last night (around 3am, actually!) It's by Lisa Truesdell, and can be found on Basic Grey's blog,

Paper Girls Challenge Blog & Garnet 10 - Blur

The Paper Girls Challenge Blog's current challenge is to use a photo strip.

Here is the sketch by Kristy Lee for Scrapbooksteals

Here is my page
This page was a lot of fun to do with all the little clusters of paper strips and embellishments!

Yum

Practical Scrappers is featuring quilt-themed layouts on their blog today, go check it out! (click {here} to go to the post)
Here is my page for today, it was a lot of fun to do!
The quilt blocks are white cardstock that I masked and misted with Chalkboard Glimmer Mists.
The doilies are also misted with the same product.

Do you ever have a picture that you know you want to scrap, but it just sits on your desk for ages until you find the inspiration to do something with it? That was me with this picture. It was taken at my husband's 10 year high school reunion, by our friend. I really love the picture. It shows off my daughter's crooked, cheesy grin that she had for quite a while at this stage.  :)

Garnet 9 - Trimming the Tree

Here is the sketch for Garnet 9 by Kristy Lee for Scrapbooksteals

Here is my page. I swapped the two pages and used less photos on my first page.
I don't usually like doing two page layouts, but they are really nice for scrapping pictures of big events!
All the paper and embellishments (excluding the kraft paper) on these pages are from Echo Park's Season's Greetings line.

Happy Valentine's Day! (MCM 70 & 71)

Happy Valentine's Day! I wanted to share all the cards I have made for today for my own family and a few others. Enjoy!

Here is the sketch by Kristy Lee for MCM #70 from Scrapbooksteals

And here is my take on the sketch.

MCM #71 was to create a Valentine, so I think I have that covered :)

Garnet 6 - Our First Home

Here is the sketch for Garnet 1 by the fabulous Kristy Lee for ScrapbookSteals

And here is my page.
I love using Echo Park's collection, Life is Good. I'll be sad when I run out!

Announcement!

I have some exciting news to share today!
I was chosen as a Fresh Face Designer over at Practical Scrappers, and my first "designer" project is being featured today! If you'd like to see it, click {here}
My term runs until the end of April, so I will have projects posted over there periodically from now until then!

Here is the card that is posted over there today and some details about it.
The base is just plain kraft paper, the patterned paper is from Echo Park's Be Mine 6x6 pad.
The hearts and "love" were made with my WRMK Sew Easy tool and hand stitched, and the scalloped heart strip was cut using my Silhouette SD.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!
