Practical Scrappers Challenge Me Tuesday - Die cuts

This is a card I made for a little boy's 2nd birthday.
I used die-cuts from Imaginisce's line Animal Crackers (link to the collection is no longer available from their site).
The banner and the mustache are die cuts.
Go check out the other projects at Practical Scrappers today!

Link With Love Blog Hop {Giveaway Closed}

Thanks for playing along! This giveaway is now closed!
***If you came here from Carolina's blog, you are on the right track. If not, please go to Practical Scrappers for the hop instructions and start from there!***

Welcome to the Practical Scrappers "Linking with Love" Blog Hop!  We believe it is important to always give credit when it is due to another crafter.  For this unique hop all of our design team members used the same inspiration piece to create their project.  Each of them will make an example of themselves as to how to properly "Link with Love" and credit the inspiration.  We'll be running the hop thru Noon EST on Sunday - so you have plenty of time to get thru it!

Liz Qualman created this beautiful layout and we have all used it for inspiration.  Each of us will tell what part we took our inspiration from.  The whole hop will culminate at Liz's blog where she'll provide us with a new sketch for inspiration.

Here is my page. I used a sketch of Liz's layout for my inspiration. I loved the bright, fun colours and the border of circles, so I included them on my page as well.

Many of the designers are providing prizes at their stop and Practical Scrappers is providing a prize for one person who becomes a follower at each stop (for all the details head over to Practical Scrappers).

To enter to win the prize here on my blog, please leave me a comment.
I will choose a winner via random.org and announce it here on Monday, March 5th. Winner will be contacted via email, so make sure you leave your email address for me!
That's it, and you're on your way to Jayma's Blog!

CMT: Inky - Beautiful

Today's Challenge Me Tuesday (CMT) on Practical Scrappers is to use ink!
There are some pretty neat projects over there, so go check it out! :)
Here is my page
I used Colorbox Chalk Ink pads across the bottom of the page (I turned the whole pad upside down and used it as a stamp). I also used the same method to colour the cardstock for the title before I cut it out with my Silhouette machine. I found a great tutorial to make the twine flower on youtube. It can be seen {here}

Announcement!

I have some exciting news to share today!
I was chosen as a Fresh Face Designer over at Practical Scrappers, and my first "designer" project is being featured today! If you'd like to see it, click {here}
My term runs until the end of April, so I will have projects posted over there periodically from now until then!

Here is the card that is posted over there today and some details about it.
The base is just plain kraft paper, the patterned paper is from Echo Park's Be Mine 6x6 pad.
The hearts and "love" were made with my WRMK Sew Easy tool and hand stitched, and the scalloped heart strip was cut using my Silhouette SD.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!

Fall Fun

This is a sketch from October 2011 PageMaps

And here is my page.

She had so much fun playing in the leaves this day, I'm glad I got some pictures of her.
This page was so simple to do, but I really love how it turned out. This was the first time I have fussy-cut out some shapes and popped them up on top of themselves (some apples in the top right) I am pretty sure there is a term for that but I don't know what it is. Can anyone help me out?! :)
