Happy Mother's Day {MCM #86}

One of my Mother's Day cards from a previous post did not make it safely to it's destination, so I needed to make another one.
I used Kristy Lee's sketch for MCM #86 for Scrapbook Steals
Here's my card.
I didn't realize how much I strayed from the sketch until I look at these photos side by side! I will be going back and using this sketch again, I like it a lot!

More Mother's Day Cards

 I hope you all had a great Mother's Day! Here are a bunch of cards I made for the Mothers in my life.

The white background paper of this one has a very subtle pattern that didn't show up in the picture very well. You can see it a little at the bottom.

Mother's Day Cards {MCM #83}

My friend asked me to make two Mother's Day cards for her to give her mom & mother-in-law. She gave me some suggestions for the colours that each of them would like, and other than that, it was up to me. Her mom is my "second mother", so I was excited to be able to make her a card :)

I saw these cards on Little Birdie Secrets this morning and loved them, so they were my inspiration for this first card. I love all the little pieces of paper and stitching on the cards.

This is the sketch for MCM #83 by Kristy Lee for Scrapbook Steals

And here is the card I made for my friend's Mother-in-Law using the sketch

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! I just wanted to share the cards and projects I've been working on. I can safely share them now that Mother's Day is over! :)
First up: the cards and candy boxes for my husband's Grandmas.

I made the cards and boxes with my Silhouette, and added hot rocks to each with my i-rock.
We filled the boxes with some yummy chocolate caramels.

Next, the cards for our moms.
This one was for my Mother in law. I used my Silhouette and glimmer mist. It was lots of fun!

This one was for my mom.
I used my Silhouette and glimmer mist on this one as well, and I just love those paper roses. I want to cover everything with them! The card base is white-core cardstock that I embossed and then sanded to expose the embossing.

And here are the gifts for our moms!
This one was for my mom. They are photo holders for pictures of their grandkids. I printed off little pictures of each of the kids as well. I followed the directions found here and here. The paper is mod-podged on the blocks, and then I hot-glued the ribbon on. The lettering is vinyl cut with my Silhouette, and I attached the gems with my i-rock.

And this one is my Mother in Law's.
