At the Movies {Turqoise 4 and PGCB challenge #8}

Here is Kristy Lee's sketch for Turquoise 4 from Scrapbook Steals

And here is my page
The Paper Girls Challenge Blog (PGCB) Challenge #8 is to use up some chipboard out of your stash. The tag in the upper left corner is chipboard that I inked and added a cardstock cutout to.
The ribbon on the flags in the bottom right is from my good friend Cathryn, I won a prize on her blog last month and that was included, isn't it great?!
The movie tickets are copies of the real things because I don't think that type of heat-paper preserves very well. Does anyone have experience with that? Let me know!

Poor Little Lady {Amethyst 9}

Here is the sketch for Amethyst 9 by Kristy Lee for Scrapbook Steals.

And here is my page.
 I flipped the sketch horizontally and used bigger photos and paper squares in place of lots of little photos. The black background is not part of the page, just what it is sitting on to show the border punches :)

Raisin Toes! {Amethyst 8 & Authentique April Sketch}

This one is a bit confusing, but here goes! Here is the sketch for Amethyst 8 for Scrapbook Steals, but it is also the Authentique Paper April Sketch Challenge.
I guess that wasn't so bad after all ;)

Here is my page.

I decided to go with circles instead of hexagons to make it flow better with the circles in the background of the picture.

Explore {Amethyst 5}

 Here is the sketch for Amethyst 5 by Kristy Lee for Scrapbook Steals.

I have been wanting to try out several "new" products and techniques that I've seen around. I decided to just go for it and I tried a bunch of them all on one page! It was a lot of fun!

I used quite a few stamps on this page (something I have been a little afraid to try on a layout!) I also used washi tape for the first time. I am usually not a huge fan of chevron stripes, but I really don't mind them in this Amy Tangerine kit.

Scrapbook Retreat (& Amethyst 2)

I was able to go to a great scrapbooking retreat this past weekend with my mom and a group of awesome ladies that I have met a few times before.
We had a lot of fun over the three days we were together, and got a lot of scrapping done! (Although I didn't get anywhere near the 22 pages that one friend finished!)
Here are three of the pages I did. I'll post another three tomorrow, and the last one when I get it finished!
 I will probably add some journalling to this page, but I can't decide where. The first picture is our family pic from '96, then we re-created it in 2011- second pic (that would be why my dad is holding my "little" brother!) And the bottom pic is the "real" family picture from 2011 :)

Garnet 9 - Trimming the Tree

Here is the sketch for Garnet 9 by Kristy Lee for Scrapbooksteals

Here is my page. I swapped the two pages and used less photos on my first page.
I don't usually like doing two page layouts, but they are really nice for scrapping pictures of big events!
All the paper and embellishments (excluding the kraft paper) on these pages are from Echo Park's Season's Greetings line.

Garnet 3 - Untitled

Here is the sketch for Garnet 3. By Kristy Lee for SS.

Here is my page.
I couldn't think of a title I liked, so I decided not to have one at all!

Garnet 1 - Announcing our little girl

Wow, it has been almost a month since I've scrapped. Christmas sure kept us busy, but we had a lot of fun with our family & friends.
Here is the sketch for Garnet 1 by Kristy at SS:

And here is my page
The white swirls have white flocking on them to add some texture.
This was a great sketch to use, thanks Kristy!
